Privacy policy

This policy describes what RKS Infra Solutions (“we”) collects through www.rksinfra.com, why, and what happens to it. It covers the website only, not the separate terms of any engagement we enter into with a client.

The short version

• No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party tracking scripts.
• No cookies are set by this website.
• The email health check does not require, ask for, or store any personal detail.
• The contact form collects what you type into it, and it is used to reply to you — nothing else.

What we collect, and why

Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form, we process:

• Your name and email address, so we can reply.
• Your company name and website or domain, if you provide them — both optional.
• The service category you selected and the message you wrote.
• The fact and time of your consent to us using these details to reply.

The lawful basis is the step you asked us to take: responding to your enquiry, and the consent you give by ticking the box on the form.

The email health check

The tool accepts a domain name and, optionally, DKIM selector names. These are used to perform public DNS queries and are not stored. We do not require an email address to use it, we do not record which domains were checked against any identity, and using it does not add you to anything.

The domain you enter is sent to our server and used to query public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare at 1.1.1.1 and Google at 8.8.8.8). Those operators see the DNS query, as they would for any DNS lookup on the internet.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, timestamp, requested path, user agent — which exist to operate the service, diagnose faults and apply rate limits. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

One exception worth stating plainly: if the contact form cannot deliver your enquiry because our mail provider is unavailable, the full enquiry — including your message — is written to our server log so the enquiry is not simply lost. This happens only on a delivery failure, you are told at the time that delivery failed, and the log entry is subject to the retention period below.

Rate limiting

Both the contact form and the health check count recent requests per IP address in memory, to limit abuse. These counters are not persisted and are discarded when the window expires or the process restarts.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage for tracking. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Who else processes your data

We keep this list short deliberately. Currently:

• Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Processes request data as described above.
• Resend — transactional email delivery. Processes the contents of a contact form submission in order to deliver it to our inbox.
• Google Fonts — the Inter and Manrope typefaces are self-hosted by the build process, so your browser does not connect to Google when loading this site.
• Cloudflare and Google public DNS — receive the DNS queries made by the health check, as described above.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. Any future addition to this list will appear here before it goes live.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: kept in our mailbox for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting engagement, and for up to 24 months afterwards. Then deleted.
• Server logs: retained by our hosting provider according to their standard retention, typically around 30 days.
• Health check inputs: not stored at all.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@rksinfra.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, which for a contact-form enquiry normally means replying from the address you used.

If you are in a jurisdiction with a data protection authority and you are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Form submissions are validated on the server, rate limited, and protected against automated abuse. Credentials for our mail provider are held in server-side environment variables and are never present in anything sent to your browser.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe you have found a vulnerability in this site, please email contact@rksinfra.com — we would much rather hear from you than not.

Children

This is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not make retroactive changes to how data already collected is used.
